Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons...
It's been a while since I've been here, simply because I have become absolutely absorbed in Harry Potter fanfic. I've discovered that unlike with my BtVS OTP of Spike/Xander, I am a little more free with Harry and Draco. I've also branched out into fics with Sirius and Remus in them, though not always together. Today, I thought I would give you guys a few links to some wonderful artists as well as some excellent fiction. Here we go!

A Thousand Beautiful Things and its Sequel, Delicate Sound of Thunder by Duinn Fionn
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: R
Author’s Summary: TBT: Draco Malfoy struggles with changed fortunes, shifted alliances, an ugly war, and an unusual spell, with the help of a concerned professor, an insightful house-elf, and an unexpected Gryffindor friend. DSoT: Draco Malfoy has always known that happily ever after is only true for fairy tales. When someone threatens to expose his wartime past, he risks his life to protect his secrets, but learns he's not the only one with something to hide.
My Summary: This one is all about sacrifice. Draco gives up everything for someone who needs it. Draco’s dedication and struggle throughout this is simply lovely.

My Summary: Harry comes back on weekend with a raided leather band tied around his wrist. Draco wants to be the one to touch it. I love this fic because it is so emotional. It’s all from Draco’s POV, so you really have no idea what Harry is thiking. The imagery is stunning.

Naked Quidditch Match by Anya (with a teeny bit by Karen)
Pairing: None. Implied Harry/Ginny, but don’t be scared!!
Rating: PG-13 for language and content, mostly a few obscenities and some mild sexual innuendo.
Author’s Summary: A game of magical Truth or Dare leads to some dire consequences for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Inspired by Alex's comment that he was "off to dream of nude Quidditch matches..." (November 5, 2001)
My Summary: Yes, there is implied Harry/Ginny, but you never, ever see it. This is a series of Mmails concerning the naked Quidditch match that Fred and George have been forced into by losing a bet. The girls and Harry are less than enthusiastic about playing nude, but Harry’s fan club loves it. This is terribly funny and I couldn’t stop laughing while I was reading it. This is one that anyone would enjoy.

Saving Draco Malfoy by Dayspring
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: R (Rape, Language, Violence)
Author’s Summary: While the Wizarding world waits for Harry Potter to save them, Draco Malfoy decides to save himself.
My Summary: This is a recently completed WIP that I have been waiting ages for. There is rape and mpreg in this story, but please don’t let that scare you away. This is Draco Malfoy at heart. He knows that no one will save him, so he saves himself in the only way he knows how. Draco doesn’t become a lovely, sweet and happy person in this fic, he remains true to his canon character and I was simply amazed at the talent the author showed in this. Yes, Draco grows and becomes more, but he stays himself. Wonderfully written and a pleasure to read.

Tissues of Silver and its Sequels by Fearless Diva
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: R for coarse language, brief drug use, some sexual content, and consideration of issues of sexual consent.
Author’s Summary: A love story concerning possessed furniture, black silk pyjamas, courtroom drama, premonitions of doom, assassination attempts, Death Eater yoga, absinthe, bare feet and a sensible werewolf.
My Summary: The link above will take you to the entire Silververse. This is one of those stories that I keep going back to time and time again. Draco is a seer who needs Harry’s protection. The interaction between Draco and Severus is outstanding and my favorite parts of the story. Go and look.
